For those interested in advising clients:

• Financial acumen with advanced designations (e.g. CFP, CFA, CPWA) or licenses (e.g. CPA, JD) is a strong plus

• Experience in the services industry managing clients and their expectations (financial, legal, or consulting)

• Skill with analytics and numbers, particularly in regards to portfolio construction and risk analytics

• Proven problem-solving and research capabilities

• An appreciation for and an understanding of behavioral biases

• Strong communications skills, particularly in the area of empathy and active listening

If you are interested in the following, we are not the right fit for you:

• Profiteering off of clients. We are fiduciaries and put client interests first.

• Building a “book of business.” We are focused more on serving clients than adding clients, and believe client satisfaction will lead to growth.

• Working alone. While we all need to work independently, we are team-oriented and serve clients as a team.

• Compromising our independence. We seek to avoid conflicts of interest that may taint our objectivity.

• Relationship management only. Client service team members are advisers and must be able to collaborate and problem-solve with clients across many areas, including investments, portfolio design, estate/tax planning, and philanthropic strategies.

• Coasting. We are young and growing, and everyone needs to be a strong contributor.
