Reflections on Our First 10 Years
This May we celebrated 10 years of Kings Path Partners. It is hard to believe how far we have come as a company. We have grown from serving a few great families to a team of seven serving over 170 clients and advising on over $1 billion in assets. But that has not been the most rewarding part of this journey. After leading an investment firm managing mutual funds for investors who were impossible to know individually, I missed the meaningful and personal relationships that I wanted in my work. Over the last 10 years this personal and professional need has been generously met.
We have been able to serve incredibly successful entrepreneurs, great and humble long-term corporate employees, young and visionary couples, older couples with wonderful families and generous hearts, and many, many more.
I have been able to serve people in their good times and challenging times. I have met those with abundance who wish to steward wealth well, guiding them through complex estate planning and helping them with long-term charitable planning. And, I have worked through details of financial plans with couples who just want to know if they are going to have enough.
I have prayed for my clients and have been blessed to know that many have prayed for me. We have gone markets ups and downs, political changes, COVID, and wild swings in interest rates. We have traveled these markets – and more importantly – life together.
Someone recently asked me to describe our clients. The word that came to my mind was “delightful.” It has been a joy and pleasure to get to know them and serve them, and to be appreciated by them. The depth of meaningful relationships and the various service opportunities have far exceeded my expectations. It has been a great 10 years, and I look forward to the next decade as we continue to grow our team to serve our current and future clients.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me and the team at Kings Path and thank you for helping me build a purposeful and fulfilling business. What a joy this journey has been!
Mike
